Thailand, my first overseas trip.
Junior year of high school I embarked on my first overseas trip to Thailand. This ignited a deep desire to travel and see the world.
The Thai culture was far from my own life experience of a Chicana (Mexican American) from San Diego Ca. I will never forget that sense of being so far away and having no fear but excitement and wonder.
